Suzanne Le Mignot and Sara Serritella sit down and talk about the “Save da Hoomans” campaign lighting up Chicago! Billboards, buses, and digital signs featuring adorable pups, like Suzanne’s Lucy, are making a splash to raise awareness about mental health and clinical research trials. Together, hoomans and their pups are spreading the message that participating in research can help us all live healthier, happier lives.

While charity runs and fundraising walks are amazing, without actual study participants, research can’t move forward. This campaign makes it easier than ever for people to get involved. By using pets’ perspectives this campaign makes science more accessible, breaks down barriers, and helps more people say YES to mental health and research. The pandemic saw a boom in pet adoptions, and science tells us that dogs improve mental health, reduce stress, and boost mood. But guess what? They need us to be healthy too!
